On Saturday, February 20^th at 2:00 PM the University of Akron Women's Basketball team will host the annual Pink Zone game to benefit breast cancer awareness.  The Pink Zone initiative is a unified effort for the Women's Basketball Coaches of America to assist the Kay Yow Fund in raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research.  Throughout the game there will be a variety of activities designed to educate and inform fans about the importance of breast cancer awareness and prevention efforts.

In order to raise funds for the Kay Yow Fund, Akron Athletics has created an official Pink Zone t-shirt (see photo for shirt front design).  This unique shirt is available for only $8, with half of the proceeds going directly to the Kay Yow Fund.  As an additional incentive, anyone wearing the shirt to the Pink Zone game will receive FREE ADMISSION.
