AKRON, Ohio – University of Akron head men's basketball coach Keith Dambrot and women's basketball head coach Jodi Kest will be the guests on Monday's Zips Live, which is broadcast from 7-8 p.m. ET live from the Winking Lizard Tavern in nearby Fairlawn (25 Ghent Road).
Bill Morgan serves as host of the show, which airs locally on Akron-IMG Sports Network flagship SportsRadio 1350 AM (WARF). The show can also be heard via web stream on the WARF homepage (click on the Listen Live tab in the top left corner).
The Akron men's basketball team (16-7, 8-1 MAC) hits the road Wednesday to face Mid-American Conference West foe Western Michigan at 7:00 p.m. on SportsTime Ohio. UA has won five-straight contests and 13 of its last 15 games. The Zips will look to tie the record set by the 2005-06 and 2006-07 for the best start to Mid-American Conference play in program history (9-1).
UA women's basketball team (10-14, 4-6) returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 11, when it plays host to Western Michigan at Rhodes Arena at 5 p.m. The game will be the Play 4Kay event in which fans can purchase pink t-shirts for $10, with the proceeds going to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Those wearing their pink shirts on Saturday will receive free admission to the game.
Morgan handles play-by-play for UA women's basketball broadcasts, with most game available on SportsRadio 1350. Wednesday's game at Toledo, however, can be heard on 640 WHLO.
