Zips to Open MAC Tournament Play Against SIU Edwardsville

MAC TOURNAMENT BRACKET

AKRON, Ohio – The stage has been set for next weekend's Mid-American Conference Tournament in Kalamazoo, Mich., as second-seeded Akron will open championship play against third-seeded SIU Edwardsville on Friday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m. at the WMU Soccer Complex.

The other half of the draw will see No. 1 Western Michigan battle fourth-seeded West Virginia in the second semifinal at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10.

The two advancing teams will square off for the MAC Championship on Sunday, Nov. 12, at 1 p.m.

Earlier this season, the Zips bested the Cougars, 3-1, on Oct. 13 at FirstEnergy Stadium – Cub Cadet Field. Akron bettered West Virginia, 4-0, on Oct. 27, while dropping a 1-0 decision at Western Michigan on Oct. 7.
