M.A.C. HERMANN TROPHY
• The Missouri Athletic Club's Hermann Trophy, which is considered the highest individual honor in college soccer, has become synonymous with The University of Akron men's soccer program in recent years as the Zips produced three finalists in as many seasons from 2008-10, including back-to-back winners in 2009 and 2010. Teal Bunbury became the first player in school history to capture the esteemed award in '09 and teammate Darlington Nagbe followed suit in '10.

• The University of Akron men's soccer program has produced 57 All-American honors since 1955.
• Of that group, 11 Zips have earned All-American honors multiple times while Richard Parkinson is the only player in school history to be named All-American three times after having done so in 1970, '71 and '72.

• The UA men's soccer program has also earned 23 Academic All-American honors since 1986, including 14 in the last eight years alone. In 2010, the Zips set a school record with four honorees, including Academic All-American of the Year Kofi Sarkodie.

LOWE'S SENIOR CLASS AWARD
• Anthony Ampaipitakwong became the first player in school history to win the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award in 2010. The award, chosen by a nationwide vote of Division I men's soccer coaches, national soccer media and fans, is given annually to the most outstanding senior student-athlete in NCAA Division I men's soccer. Ampaipitakwong posted a 3.4 grade point average in business administration at Akron and was a regular contributor in the Akron community; working with Habitat for Humanity, spending days at local elementary schools and volunteering time at a local shelter for homeless women and children. The two-time NSCAA All-American and multiple Hermann Trophy semifinalist was also a volunteer coach for several soccer camps at Akron as well as at his high school in Bradenton, Fla.
ALL-MAC HONORS
• Since joining the league in 1993, the Zips have recorded 197 All-MAC selections, including 116 First-Team honorees. In 2010 and again in 2013, UA set a conference record with nine first-team honorees.
• Akron has produced the MAC Player of the Year in 10 of the last 15 seasons and 12 times overall, which is the most recorded by any league member.
