Football's Todd Stroud to Take Medical Leave of Absence

AKRON, Ohio – University of Akron football head coach Terry Bowden announced on Friday that assistant coach Todd Stroud will take an indefinite medical leave of absence.

Stroud, in his third season at Akron as the defensive line coach and director of football strength and conditioning, will seek medical treatment for a blood disorder and is expected to return to the team in the near future.

Associate head coach and defensive coordinator Chuck Amato will assume Stroud's defensive line coaching duties.
