Former Zip Joe Jakubick Featured on CollegeHoops.net

AKRON, Ohio -

Former University of Akron men's basketball star Joe Jakubick is featured in this week's edition of "Forgotten Legends," an interview series by CollegeHoops.net writer Jon Teitel.

Jakubick, a four-year letterwinner and three-time All-American from 1980-1984, is currently the girls' basketball coach at St. Vincent's/St. Mary's High School in Akron.

In four seasons with Akron, Jakubick ended his career at the program's all-time leading scorer with 2,583 points, holds the top career marks for field goals made (1,913), free throws made (584) and free throw attempts (719), in addition to finishing second in career steals (189). He also owns the season records for points (827), field goals made (304), free throws made (206) and free throw attempts (247).
