AKRON, Ohio – The tip-off for The University of Akron men's basketball team's exhibition contest against Tiffin on Wednesday, Oct. 31, will be moved from 7 p.m. ET to 8 p.m. due to President Barack Obama's campaign stop to James A. Rhodes Arena.
Rhodes Arena will be the site for the next presidential campaign stop in northeast Ohio. The public rally is free to the public, with the doors opening at 12:30 p.m. CLICK HERE for more information on the event and where to pick up tickets.
Tickets for the Obama rally can only be picked up at the Summit County Democratic Headquarters (438 Grant Street), Laborers Union Hall (720 Wolf Ledges Parkway, Suite 201) or the James A. Rhodes Arena lobby. Tickets will not be available at the The C.P. and Cornelia S. Chima Athletics or the Rhodes Arena Ticket Offices.
Gates for the men's game against Tiffin will open at 7 p.m. Tommy Evans Lounge will not be open before, during or after the contest.
Season tickets are now on sale and single-game tickets for the Tiffin contest will go on sale Tuesday. Tickets can be purchased online at ZipsTickets.com, by phone at 1-888-99-AKRON (25766) or in person at The C.P. and Cornelia S. Chima Athletics Ticket Office at InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field (located at 375 E. Exchange Street, near Gate 1 at the southwest corner of the venue, at the intersection of E. Exchange and S. Union streets), Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The Rhodes Arena ticket office will open at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
