as a Sophomore (Spring 2012): Became the first Akron player in the Division I era of UA golf (since 1980) to qualify for the NCAA Regional Championships ... also became the first Zips' golfer to be named to the PING All-Region team (Midwest) by the Golf Coaches Association of America ... named First-Team All-MAC ... his average of 73.19 during the 2011-12 campaign ranked 6th-best in the Mid-American Conference ... posted three top-25 finishes in seven events ... posted five rounds at par or better ... finished tied for fourth place at the MAC Championship (April 27-29) with a three-round score of 1-over 217 ... his MAC finish helped propel him into an at-large bid to the NCAA Central Regional (May 17-19), where he finished tied for 19th place (213, E) ... his round of 5-under 66 during the final round was the top score of the final round and tied for the second-lowest round of the event ... he also finished tied for 18th place at the Memphis Intercollegiate (April 10-11) with a three-round tally of 227 (+11).
