Tennis Completes Main Draw Doubles Play at Midwest Regional

URBANA, Ill. – Both University of Akron doubles teams posted a 1-1 record to complete their participation in the main draw of the USTA/ITA Midwest Regional Championships on Friday at University of Illinois' Atkins Tennis Center.

The Zips' pair of Prang Pantusart and Angelina Jogasuria claimed a 9-7 win over Michigan State's Marina Bohrer and Catherine Parenteau in today's opening round, but followed that with an 8-4 loss to Northwestern's Brittany Wowchuck and Alicia Barnett.

UA's duo of Angelika Jogasuria and Madison Cohen downed Ohio State's Noelle Malley and Grainne O'Neill 8-6 in the first round, then lost to Northwestern's Veronica Corning and Belinda Nui (score not available).
