AKRON, Ohio – The Zips women's tennis team opens a five-match road swing by traveling to Philadelphia this weekend to face off against Penn on Friday at 3 p.m. ET and St. Joseph's on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

Akron improved its dual-match record to 6-0 with a 4-3 comeback win at home versus Illinois-Chicago last Friday and posted a 3-1 exhibition victory over visiting ASA Community College on Sunday. Against UIC, senior Ksenia Berestetska's last match on court No. 4 singles win capped a UA rally that erased a 3-1 deficit.

Berestetska's match winner improved her singles record to 6-0. Junior Olga Shkundina is 5-0 in both singles and doubles play this year. The UA pair of sophomores Martina Zerbola and Madison Cohen is also 5-0 entering the weekend.

The Zips are facing Penn and St. Joseph's for the first time in dual competition, however, UA participated in Penn's Cissie Leary Invitational during its fall schedule each of the last two years.

Akron's travels continue at nearby Youngstown State on Feb. 15, Portland State on Feb. 21 and Oregon on Feb. 22.
