AKRON, Ohio
– The Zips women's tennis team travels to the Pacific Northwest this weekend to compete at Portland State on Friday at 4 p.m. ET and Oregon on Saturday at 7 p.m. The trip wraps up a five-match road swing for the program, which maintains a 7-2 overall record and 6-2 mark in away contests this season.

Akron comes off a 5-2 loss at Youngstown State last Saturday, a match in which it was hindered by an altered lineup due to injury. UA posted its points at Nos. 5 and 6 singles by way of senior Ksenia Berestetska and freshman Caroline Harpaintner, respectively. Berestetska's victory improved her record versus singles competition this season to 8-1.

The Zips and Portland State will meet for the first time on the tennis court, while UA and Oregon will face off for the second time ever following a 4-3 victory by the Zips over the then 69th-ranked Ducks in Akron on Feb. 17, 2013.

Akron returns home on Saturday, March 8 when it plays host to Duquesne and Butler in a doubleheader. Those matches will begin at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively, at LaTuchie Tennis Center in nearby Stow (driving directions).
